Live Painting and Live livin’

Hello yo. here is a lil’ collection of photos of the recent live painting nights I have been hosting at the friends awesome bar ,’MOLOKO’ here in northeast Portland OR.

t’s been really chill and awesome on these art nights on Moloko’s back patio , also with some regulars returning to relax and draw during happy hour . I leave art supplies on each table in the back for everyone to have a chance to just free doodle and also discounts on art and zines when you get a drink or a pizza. I’m surprised kinda on how connective the art has been between people and watching everyone share their doodles throughout the night is just so beautiful 🤍

I’m also liking how this latest painting is going and sometimes the interactions through the night change how the art ends up.

Here is the live painting before the most recent. It is a lil bit more sexier yo

Early Stage

Here is a pic of day one of the painting. The image kept moving around in my head from a soul playing a string instrument within and without itself as if it is playing the song of it’s own existence and the very act of playing keeps it all together, and then a bird arose from the movement and it seemed more like a dance than a playing of an instrument. Later someone showed me the ‘Death Tarot’ designed in a similar way , it really weirded me out for that was what I was seeing and feeling without ever knowing the card y’all, the extra weird part was I keep wanting to add string yet I am afraid I will mess up the painting, but I need to embrace that fear yo.

Here is another live painting at a previous event

A painting of self and self and recognization of self as well y’all

and here is another painting of a face with a face within a face.

A sketch for an indoor mural on the way.

That’s all for now, if you’ve checked it out this far , Thank you yo , and if you’re in town on a Thursday and wanna hang out and make art with me and Simon, come on through boo.

Till then much love,
